EME2040- Blog #1

My name is Tia Williams. I am from Austell, Georgia, located about 25 minutes from Atlanta. I came to Florida State as a music therapy major. In high school I was in the performing arts magnet program where a career in the arts were highly encouraged. I have and will always have a passion for music but I'm not sure that music therapy is my calling. So, at the moment I am exploring all of my options, education being one. 

My experience with technology in an educational setting is pretty limited. I am pretty skilled when it comes to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint but beyond those I'm kind of lost. Even when I have used word or PowerPoint in the past, it was for academic reasons. I really want to explore Excel and build my skills in that area. 

I have heavily relied on the resources provided by the teacher when it comes to online learning. However, I know that sometimes additional reading/researching is required for a class which is completely fine! If I ever need outside assistance I rely on any credible sources that google gives me! I also rely on the people around me who are more skilled in areas that I am not!
